ChatGPT Pro is worth it if Plus limits stop your work, especially in Codex: all three Pro tiers currently have no five-hour Codex limit, only weekly limits. Pro 100 ($100) is the entry point; Pro 200 ($200) and Pro 500 ($500) add more usage, and Pro 500 includes Ultrafast mode. OpenAI does not publish exact allowances.

Things to know before you pay
- Pro 200: New subscriptions since Sep 29, 2026 get a lower allowance than before; grandfathered allowance runs through Oct 29, 2026.
- Pro 500: Ultrafast uses allowance at 8x the Standard rate.
- Fast mode uses included limits at 2.5x and Ultrafast at 8x the Standard rate.
